Afternoon: Get a casual lunch and visit a museum

New York is well-known for its cuisine, influenced by the many people who have settled in the city since it was established. Try some amazing delicatessen dishes or famous pizza slices - there’s plenty of places to grab a casual lunch as you wander around for your one day trip to NYC.

For the afternoon, you can visit one of NYC’s famous museums. Some of the most wonderful works of art and history are held in the halls of NYC’s museums, and they’re well worth visiting if you’re only in NYC for a day trip.

Evening: Catch a show

New York is famous for many things, but its Broadway shows are renowned across the world for a reason! You can see shows like Hamilton, Wicked, Moulin Rouge and more in some of the world’s most celebrated theaters. You can also see real outfits from these productions, including Wicked and Hamilton, in our Broadway exhibit at RiseNY!

Top theatrical institutions like the Gershwin Theatre have tickets to book all year round, so there’s bound to be a show on the day you’re visiting.
